Professional Health Products is a leading health product supplier to Chiropractors and Naturopaths across Canada. With no website, clients had to phone or fax Professional Health Products to obtain product information and order products. With each phone call, staff had to provide product information and process orders manually; thus reducing productivity and increasing operational expenses.
Professional Health Products wanted a website that would provide their clients with up-to-date information about products, seminars, and have the ability to order products online - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additionally, the company wanted us to ensure that the site would have permission-based content so that their registered clients would have access to specialized information.
Professional Health Products' unique challenges have been met with unique solutions. We worked closely with the company to ensure their brand was effectively portrayed throughout the site. Sophisticated functionality and a simple navigation structure were incorporated into the design to provide their customers with an easy-to-use interface, and realistic images that compliment their high quality products.
Additionally, the site was designed to make the staff at Professional Health Products feel in control, from the choice of adding/modifying/removing products and product information to adding up-to-date seminar information. This was done by moving all their product information to a centralized database, and implementing a custom-made Content Management System (CMS). With this in place, Professional Health Products can easily keep their site current without the need of HTML experts.
Search engine and e-commerce functionality was implemented to give their customers the ability to easily find and purchase products 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Customers are able to login, add products to their shopping cart, view their purchase history, see discount promotions, register for seminars, submit suggestions, and edit their account information. In addition, staff of Professional Health Products can view E-commerce related reports such as best selling products, most active clients, transaction history, and revenue statistics.
The results have far exceeded the goals and expectations set by Professional Health Products. Their staff is free to conduct normal operational work rather than spending time on the phone providing product information to customers; saving time and money. All product information is now stored in a centralized database and is very easy to maintain.
